It’s also a challenging event for photographers to catch fast action shots and always adapting to the changeable spring time weather conditions.
Strength is key to physical fitness as kayaking requires an ability to do both highly intensive aerobic exercise and steady state cardiovascular exercise. Since kayaking involves getting wet (and staying wet) in a high intensity exercise, kayakers need to prevent hypothermia as well as overheating. As a photographer this is my attempt to catch those magic moments of accomplishment seen in the faces of every competitor.
